How did this process (using artifacts to research a topic, using the voice and perspective of something inanimate to explain the topic, comparing film as an art form to the reality of a topic) help you to get a better understanding of the WWII era? Is blogging something that you can see using for other areas of study?
Having video, visuals, and writing helped my understanding. Having write about artifacts from an inanimate object made you have to creaet and all knowing and all seeing point of veiw, The diffrent types of media made it easier to connect the artifacts, and creat a big picture with lots of detail.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me to understand the WWII era because it was a really in depth project. You could not get a full understanding of your topic, or movie without becoming an expert on it. I was also able to find interesting ways people escaped the war and how their lives were saved because of them. I could see why people would use blogging for other areas of studying in order to really get either your story, or details about your topic across to a public audience.
ReplyDeleteThe project helped me understand the topic of WW2 in a more detailed way. It gave a more entertaining and informative way of giving the reality of the topic and it was easier to learn and grasp the reality when you research what really happened. The blogging aspect seemed to have given me a more creative way of researching a topic than just reading a book and writing about it. I feel more informed about the topic and I feel more freedom with giving my idea on what the topic meant to me.
ReplyDeleteThe process of watch a WWII film and finding artifacts gave me a better understanding of the era because, it gave a more entertaining view. By watching the movie it brought you in and gave you an idea of things that happened. My movie showed what happened in the War of Stalingrad. I like the idea of blogging, this over all helped me.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this process helped me to better understand the WWII era because it was so in depth. By watching a movie, blogging about it and then researching a specific topic about the war derived from the movie really helps to make you think and better understand the era. In the format of a movie I also think that this helps make it a much more artistic project as well which made it more enjoyable as well.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me better understand what my topic was on because it made me really dig into the little details of my topic, not just parts of it. It was visually appealing and easy to read. Blogging is something that I can totally see doing in the future for other areas of study because it would still have the same effects of study that it did for learning about history.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me get a better understanding of the WWII era because it made me research and learn the knowledge with held in the 20 artifacts. These artifacts made me really think and research each one so I could learn and embrace the actual facts that happened. By having to know the history behind each artifact, it let me get a better understanding of the era. I would use blogging for studying in the future. It wrapped my mind around the topic and let me absorb the knowledge.
ReplyDeleteIt helped me because it made me think more of what happened. I don't really see blogging as that useful for any other subject.
ReplyDeleteUsing this process helped me better understand the war by having me visually see the war, instead of just reading it and having to build the images up in my head. I probably wouldn't use it for another project, because multiple times it didn't work and stressed me out.
ReplyDeleteUsing picture artifacts helped me to understand my movie a whole lot better it gave me descriptive details.
ReplyDeleteAlso I can see using blogging for other areas in studying it defenitly helped me a lot
ReplyDeleteThe speaking through an object helped me to see the movie in a different way which I liked. It showed me how they felt in the real thing!
ReplyDeleteUsing artifacts with a voice that we come up with will get us to better understand the topic because we have to get a feel for what the artifacts would feel like if it were to have a voice of it's own. Yes, I think blogging is a great was to learn about this and other things because we get to find specifics and artifacts then share them with other people trying to learn the same things.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me better understand world war 2 because it makes us have to get to know our artifacts to make it seem like they were actually alive during that time. I also think that blogging is a great way to study things and I think we should use it more.
ReplyDeleteFinding artifacts gave me a better understanding of my topic, because all of the artifacts were connected somehow or another. Blogging is definitely something I would use to learn about other topics.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped give me a better understanding of WWII because of all of the viewpoints that were accessed in primary sources. Documents including photographs, paintings, sketches, newspapers, and poetry allowed me to hear the voices of many. Those who fought in the war, those who suffered from the war, and those who sat around the radio for updates from the BBC were seen and heard. Through the process I learned what war does locally, nationally, and globally for people everywhere. Blogging is definitely something I could see myself utilizing in other areas of study. It's an easy way to display what the field of study means to you, and to see what it means to those you study it with.
ReplyDeleteThis whole process of blogging helped me gain so much more knowledge of the World War II era then I would have ever thought. The variety of media sources really gave me so many examples of my topic and helped me learn from other's blogs. At first it was hard speaking from an inanimate object but in the end it was great to connect to. Using the blog for other areas of study would be a great idea and I think we should follow through with it.
ReplyDeleteUsing the voice perspective of something inanimate really made me feel like I was a part of the story because I had to speak as though I had experienced World War II. Comparing the movie artistically to reality, really helped me get a better understanding of what actually happened and it made it feel more real to me because I saw the people involved in the story as someone I knew better. It also made me understand that movies do change things to make it more dramatic and interesting. Blogging is not something I can see using or helping me as much for other subjects like math as compared to history.
ReplyDeleteThis process (using artifacts to research a topic, using the voice and perspective of something inanimate to explain the topic, comparing film as an art form to the reality of a topic) helped me better understand my topic. The process made me look at my topic at a different perspective. It made research deeper into my topic and look at what actually occurred at the Battle of Iwo Jima from primary sources. I believe we should use blogging in other areas of studies. It makes you understand the topic on a different level.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me better understand the World War II era because the artifacts showed me the truth about what actually happened in World War II. While art is a wonderful thing, art is not always historically accurate. While watching the movie was enjoyable, it wasn’t completely truthful. By asking us to use mostly primary sources to talk about our topic, I found a lot of wonderful information that I would have never known about, had I only watched the movie. I can see blogging as a useful tool for other studies, but if we were to use blogging more often I think it would be helpful to have a few days to learn how to blog. I am not amazingly skilled when it comes to blogging, so when it came to putting stuff on the blog, it was a challenge for me. This complication is an easy fix; therefore I believe we should use blogging more often in other areas of school.
ReplyDeleteThis process that you had us do slowed down the confusion and you took it step by step, sort of sampling this whole thing down so we don't have to remember everything at one time, but taking it slowly. The blog is a pretty cool thing. Very easy to do and it seems like another resource to use to do my technology work for S.T.E.M program in the summer that I was invited to.
ReplyDeleteI think that this project helped me definitely gave me a better understanding of the WW2 era. I loved writing from a telephone's point of view because I was able to understand more about the internal thoughts and feeling of different officers and generals. I feel like it is much more beneficial for an audience to read information about history from someone (or in this case, something) that was actually there. It somehow makes the story more relatable and intriguing. I loved using different artifacts because I felt as though I was putting the puzzle pieces of the story together for the audience. It was helpful to use so many because I could provide more details for readers and I probably would have done even more artifacts if I had had more time! Blogging is definitely something that I can see myself doing for other areas of study because I believe it provides a more in-depth study on a topic. Looking back at different blogs, I find that this type of presentation of research is also easier for me to understand than reading an essay or article on a topic. Overall, I definitely enjoyed this new experience!
ReplyDeleteThis process I believe, required me to become an expert on my topic, to a certain extent. The use of artifacts surely aided me in comprehending the WW2 era almost completely. Each time I would find an artifact, it would raise curiosity in me, and make me delve even further into the matter. The use of the inanimate object, was actually my favorite part of this process. While being my inanimate object, other than understanding set in stone artifacts, I could understand other things, like probable thoughts, occurrences, and feelings. Compared to just a plain research paper, I don't think I would have acquired as much knowledge as I have from doing this process. The comparison between the film and real life, just made me realize how much I love art, I didn't really learn anything from it― noting the fact that my movie was very similar to real life. Blogging is something I see for other areas of study. I feel as if it's a bit more up-to-date and engaging, and new, which makes it an exhilarating experience!
ReplyDeleteYes, the whole process did help me have a better understanding of the WWII. Then finishing every assignment I just really wanted to read everyone else's blog. Mostly everyone did a good job. I didn't just learn about my topic, movie, comparing film etc. but also everyone else's. I have never been so interested in history so much. I really enjoyed blogging. And yes, I can see myself using this in other areas of study such as Science and English.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me have a better understanding of the war because i could see, instead of only reading about, these events and the technology that made the war as tragic and deadly as it was. I can see using this method in other areas such as science.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me understand WWll better because i got to see deeper into the details of things, and I got to see it through entertainment. All these events happened, and this project help me see it as something real, not just a story. Blogging could be useful for other things such as english.
ReplyDeleteUsing this specific process forced me to need a better understanding of my topic in order for me to actually write anything liable. That isn't a bad thing, however. Because of this process, I was able to gain knowledge on a topic that I hadn't even thought about before we started the project. Blogging was a bit stressful in my opinion, and it isn't something that I would use again because of that. I enjoyed it more than just creating a PowerPoint, or making a poster though.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me get a better understanding of the events that took place in many parts of the world during WWII. It was fairly difficult for me because I had never blogged before, but it made me broaden my horizon and expand my knowledge on the facts of WWII such as the bombing in Japan or the Berlin Blockade. The project also showed me that there are different ways to learn than just doing book work or even doing an act it out. The project also gave me a better liking for research and learning about different perspectives of the same situation. I could see blogging being able to be used in my other academics such as english.
ReplyDeleteThe process of finding artifacts for this project really helped me think creatively. Seeing artifacts that were owned by the people I was studying let me visualize their lives better. I feel like I have a better overall understanding of not just the events that took place but what individual people went through. Blogging is something I could see myself using for other areas of study like English.

ReplyDeleteThe process helped my delve deeper into my topic. Writing from an inanimate object's perspective was hard, but it helped me understand what it would be like to have actually been in the battle. It helped me get down to what really happened during the battle. I'm not used to writing a blog, so it helped me figure out how to work one as well. I can see using a blog for research in my future. I really like using the internet for research since there's such an abundance of sources.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me better understand my topic and WWII in a more detailed way. It allowed me to look more into my topic in a completely different point of view. Also reading newspapers and journals, Looking at photographs and paintings, and listening to you in class and the radio stations that played during that time really helped me understand the people and the events going on during WWII. While doing this project I understood that art can be based off of a real situation but isn't always completely truthful. Blogging in my opinion should be used in other areas of study because its an easy way to display your thoughts and to see what your peers have come up with too.
ReplyDeleteThis process, at least for me, did not really hep me get a better understanding of this era because my topic was just on things people would do in their free time. It wasn't different from what I'd thought it'd be and didn't give me any new hindsight onto the era anyway, as there wasn't even much information on my topic anyway and was a struggle to even get as much information that I did that was from a reliable source. Blogging I could consider for other areas of study, but very specific ones that would work well for this format and for modern issues.
ReplyDeleteIt helped me because I could actually see what things were like and not just read about it. I can see myself blogging about other events in history.

ReplyDeleteThis project really helped me understand World War II because I learn well with visuals. I could really understand World War II way more in depth than I did before we started this project. This whole process especially helped me understand how black soldiers were treated. I could definitely see myself doing a blog in the future.
ReplyDeleteThe process helped me to understand WWII because it gave me multiple perspectives on my topic. I got to compare other people's stories with my film to learn more about my topic.
ReplyDeleteThis process was helpful only to comprae the movie to the real events. As we all know, movies can really romanticize and soften events, which isn't all the helpful when learning history. Movies are really on the side of researching topics, to bigger fixtures in history. Which is why it was important you helped us choose a topic to research based on our movie. I wouldnt reccomend this, though, for every subject we learn about. Like I said, it was helpful only because we were comparing... movie events to real-life events.
ReplyDeleteThis project helped me understand WW2 better than reading a book and answering questions because it sort of forced my brain to learn the information and remember it about my topic. I hope we actually do a blog next year
ReplyDeleteUsing an inanimate object to explain the events at the Malmedy Massacre helped me get a better understanding of the event because it made me think more about what was there and what was going on before the event occurred, not just what had happened, as told by historians. I think blogging is something that I might use for other areas of study because I’d be able to get feedback form people I’ve never met on my blog. I can see myself reading other people’s blogs on subjects that I might want to know more about or might be curious about, so I’ll be able to get more of an understanding about that topic.
ReplyDeleteThe whole process definitely helped me understand WWII better. Using the artifacts really helped me go in depth of really understanding. Blogging is something I could really get used to, with a bit more practice.
ReplyDeleteThis process really helped me receive a better understanding of the World War II era. It helped me because it allowed me to learn from many different points of view and grasp specific stories that existed during the war. Blogging was an efficient way of completing this project because I was able to be creative and tell a story with my topic and read about the topics of my classmates really easily. I would really like to use the blog for other classes like English so other people can read and correct any essays or short stories that we compose as students.
ReplyDeleteI think this process for me it gives the people of the more modern age a better understanding of what went on. I also think it gives us something to relate to when we learn about these kinds of topics. Then that's when we can analyze and find out what's true, what's propaganda, and also figure what's clearly the real story and the reinacted version. Blogging was a new experience. I am not going to say it was the easiest experience because I am not very computer savy, but I don't think I could see using this method for other subjects simply because i prefer a textbook and notes a lot more than this process.
ReplyDeleteThis process help better relies what it was really life, especially the visuals. But I do not think this would work for other subjects, maybe science?
ReplyDeleteI think this project help me learn about World War II because it showed different aspects and also different information in many ways. Yes i think you can study from using a Blog if the information is accurate.
ReplyDeleteUsing the process that we used, really helped me to understand the World War ll era. Especially because we used all primary sources. We got to see, listen, and read of first hand views of the experiences. It was something I really enjoyed doing because I connected with it. I have trouble listening to History and trying to take in all the information at once. This way, i got to see the information put into many different views, but all about roughly, the same thing. I don't think this would work for me personally in other subjects because with other subjects i like to listen to teachers, do worksheets, and read readings. In history i understand more when it is put into another perspective and explained thoroughly.
ReplyDeleteThe entirety of the World War II era is much too broad to be fully comprehended in the skimming of pages and scanning of hastily taken notes. This project provided us with the opportunity to choose a specific event, or sequence of events and interpret our information, thus teaching ourselves and others in a more effective and editorial way. Through this process we were forced to consider another perspective (via the inanimate object) and use our own voice and writing practices to craft captions that explained and captured the essence of the artifacts. In addition, the research and eventual creating of the blog exposed us to the emotional impact of our topic. We had to look at our topic as not just an event or a person that exists within the pages of history textbooks, but as circumstances and conditions that once occurred in someone’s “present.” This blog exhibits our abilities as students and shows us what we and our peers are capable of as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see the correct forms of “to, two,” and “too” for a change and to read the writing of people I don’t encounter throughout the school day. I enjoyed the publicity of the project and the satisfaction of compliments that the blog gave us the opportunity to receive. I would love to continue posting our work on the blog for this class and others, such as English or French.
ReplyDeleteThe process was very difficult. But it brought A lot of reality to the fact that everything was affected by ww2. The artifacts is what I found most useful to help show the reality of the war. The inanimated voice was not at all helpful, it just made things more difficult and confusing. Yes I think blogging could be used for other subjects cause it's basically reflecting how you feel about different things

ReplyDeleteThis whole process did help me understand the WWII era because of all the movie watching, and researching that was involved. I was forced to learn one way or another , and I like that. The fact that I found my topic interesting really helped. I do think blogging would help in any other subject or any study. You get a chance to learn and see other peoples input on different subjects.
ReplyDeleteThis World War II blog project gave me a better understanding of the war because you get a lot of stories not just one. Another thing is the variety of artifacts people found and there seems to be stuff for any type of learner. I could see me using this in the study of cultures, english, politics and many other things.
ReplyDeleteThis process of using artifacts to research topic, using the voice perspective of an inanimate object to explain the topic and comparing film as an art form to the reality of a topic was very interesting and it helped me in learning about WWII in a new way than I would have thought beforehand. Using the artifacts helped to find what kinds of things were important to the events that took place. In using the voice and perspective of the inanimate object helped to fully know the story inside and out. I think using this method was both helpful and not helpful. Having not done this before it was a little confusing but with a little practice I think it will be very useful especially with using technology to do it.
ReplyDeleteI had visuals and firsthand accounts of the events which really helps me because I am a visual learner, and it helped me see that the media likes to sugarcoat many things or change it to make it more 'pleasing' to the audience. In other words, I got to see the truth of WWII. I can definitely see myself blogging for other purposes, it is already used in the art department and I would like to have a personal one to post non-school related things.
ReplyDeleteResearching artifacts and then using the perspective of an inanimate object to explain them did help me get a better understanding of the World War II era. I was able to actually understand and have an image of what happened during the war. The many different viewpoints that I came across (articles and photographs) allowed me to absorb the information in a way that wasn't just re-reading over my notes multiple times, not really grasping the content. Blogging is something that I can see myself doing in the future because it gives me the opportunity to share my work with my peers and them the opportunity to do the same.
ReplyDeleteThis project helped me see the similarities and differences between reality and art. With that, I was able to have a more opened eye to WWII and was able to understand it more. I was able to see that everything has more than one side and by telling our blogs through an inanimte object's voice, it really stressed that. I'm not certain that blogging is another project I'd like to do again but it was helpful.
ReplyDeleteI believe the whole process helped us see three different ways we could interpret WWII. The artifacts were present day objects, that were primary sources. This helped me visualize the events and made me connect history with reality. We had to be creative and write in first person which added creativity. Finally the movies showed artistic reactions to history. I believe blogging about areas of education helps everyone have their opinions heard.
ReplyDeleteHow this process helped me better understand the topic of World War II is it made me research things of a specific event in WWII and how things contributed and resulted from this event. Basically a timeline for my event to better understand the war itself. Also seeing how art differs from reality and finding the true events that happened in WWII. Yes I do see blogging being used in other areas of study especially for teenagers since we are very well adapted to the internet.
ReplyDeleteThis project was a very hands-on and interactive study on the events of WWII. Instead of reading from a text book about what "generally" happened we can see and appreciate the significant details of what really happened in the war. Also being a drama major, I loved seeing how actors and directors were able to convey information while still entertaining. Through this project I have learned to appreciate primary resources and even my art as a way to sculpt and preserve history forever.
ReplyDeleteThis process aided my comprehension of the WWII era by allowing me to relate what I had learned in class and from books, to art that reflected this knowledge more visually. I obtained different viewpoints on my topic (Warsaw after the war) which helped me to really understand what was happening during that time period. The film gave me a artistically reflected perspective on the event, while collecting the artifacts and narrating for them caused me to really think about what feelings, thoughts, and other occurrences may have existed due to the WWII- post war era. I think that blogging would be a beneficial study process for me in the future as well as it is relatable and thought-provoking.
ReplyDeleteThe whole project about WWII made me think creativity. It made me get a better understanding about my topic of the era. I understand it better with the visuals and the movie instead of just reading it and answering questions. I think you can use blogging in other studies because you can see other people input on things and it help you understand it better.
ReplyDeleteIt allowed me to see things from a different perspective . Not just from the perspective of my inanimate object , but on different sides of war , and has caused me to further research about things such as "what was Hitler thinking ? " and getting inside his head , also I wanted to know what was going on in Japan's mind because the AMericans were not happy with them AT ALL... I just wonder what they were thinking that's all , because not everythin is what it seems sometimes . Also yea blogging is something I used to use in a couple of classes last year and this year . Last year we used it in launguage arts to discuss books and questions in books . We were also required to comment and give feedback on eachother a comments . Which I enjoyed . This year I've only used it in art . But not often .
ReplyDeleteUsing this method of research was helpful because I was able to get a better understanding of all different aspects of WWII. I can see blogging being used in other areas of study but would not prefer to use this as a primary meathod for me personally.
ReplyDeleteFrom describing my topic from the perspective of an inanimate object, I learned to try to analyze things more from an outsider's point of view, and while trying to analyze from the perspective of a person who was actually a part of what ever event you're discussing or researching can be a really good tool to have,I think for this project the other way was more helpful to see these events in a new light. I think using a blog would have been an interesting idea for the "Around the World in 80 Days" project.
ReplyDeleteThis process of researching with a more hands-on approach helped me to better understand the era of WWII and the effect it had on that generation and all future generations. I have already utilized blogging for my photography interests and business by reading others blogs and trying out their suggestions and methods.
ReplyDeleteThe process of blogging was a fun experience. it made me personally understand the truth about WW2 more than I already did
ReplyDeleteThe process of blogging was a fun experience. it made me personally understand the truth about WW2 more than I already did
ReplyDeleteIt helped me understand everything in better and greater detail. But I don't think that I'll use blogging in the future. It was kind of difficult for me to get used to using the blog. But I also don't like using it truthfully.
ReplyDeleteI think that the process of finding artifacts and writing about them helped me learn about the WWII era. When deciding which artifacts I wanted I would always read something interesting that I didn't know about WWII and I feel like that made a difference on how well I understood my topic and what happened in the time period. I think blogging is a good way of finding out new facts about and really understanding what I'm learning, so I could see myself using it to study in the future.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me get a better understanding of the World War II era because it got me to think creatively and see things in different perspectives. Blogging is something that I can see me using in other areas of study like English
ReplyDeleteThe project helped me to get a better understanding of World War II because it forced me to become a part of the event. I had to out myself there, and then do research on the species details to make sure my posts were accurate. I will probably use blogs in the future for they are a great way of widespread communication while being a mode of communication I understand quite well.
ReplyDeleteUsing artifacts to explain my topic really helped me understand the World War II era, not only in discovering the artifacts, but also in taking that knowledge and turning it into a narration of our topic. In this way you can get some different perspectives on the same fact. I would honestly love to blog to help with studying. They say you know a topic if you can actually explain it to someone else, so blogging lets your share your knowledge and process it making you study it and know more about it.
ReplyDeleteThis process was a very useful way in "forcing" someone like me who does not particularly enjoy learning history into actually remembering it. The idea of the movie allowed us to view something that we would enjoy, yet still learn. Then finding the artifacts taught us to research the topic more thoroughly. And the point of view step got us to reimagine everything through the mind of someone (thing) that was actually there and influenced directly. Yes the blogging format allows all of the students to interact with each other's work in a way that I just don't think can be done anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI found the most useful part of this project was writing from the point of view of an inanimate object. The process of picking which object would be not only the most helpful to write from, but also the most creative was tough, yet very helpful. Discovering how this object would know about the certain artifacts and what the objects relationships with these artifacts was made the research more intense. I found blogging to be a tricky medium, but I liked how unique it was compared to projects I have been assigned in the past.

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't exactly helpful, I just saw it as another project that I didn't want to do. Although, I did learn more details of my topic and it might help in the future? I don't really know.
ReplyDeleteI don't see myself doing blog as a study tool, but I will say it did help me understand WWII better. The artifacts forced me to become knowledgeable on my topic and really get a feel for the women of those times.
ReplyDeleteIt was helpful by helping me learn more about the non-American side of WW2.Yes, I can see blogging being used in different fields of study in school.
ReplyDeleteI think this process helped to have a new perspective on the events that happened in my movie. Having to find twenty artifacts made me work to figure out ways that my topic could affected other areas so I would be able to have enough artifacts. I think that comparing the film to real life will help me in the future to know when artists have used their artistic license to alter reality when creating a piece of art that is grounded in real life. Writing captions from an inanimate object's point of view was fun and interesting, but at least in my case it didn't really help me to get a better understanding of my topic. I think that the blog format was nice because I was able to post things as I found them instead of worrying about having twenty things all at the same time, and it also made it easy to see other people's work. I think that the blog format could be used in other areas of school and be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteThis project was very helpful. I'm more of a visual learner, so to be able to look at a lot of different artifacts helped me understand everything a lot more. It made the project a lot more interesting as well. I didn't get a chance to look at everyones blog, however, the ones I did look at I learned a lot from. The blog was a new thing for me, and it was pretty cool. I dont think I would enjoy doing it again because i struggled with it. To me, its easier to write a paper. I did enjoy the experience though.
ReplyDeleteAt first, it seemed like it was going to be hard trying to use a movie as a type of art. When people use the word art, the first thing that comes to mind are drawings and paintings. So it was different using a film as a piece of art. After we watched our movies it was difficult trying to use an inanimate object to tell the story of what happened. After we started with that, it was basically smooth sailing. During the comparison part of the project, it was so surprising how much of a difference there was between the film and World War II. There are many ways of researching and tracking your research. I personally never thought of blogging as a way to do so. Now that i have experienced blogging, I will think to use it more often in projects like this.
ReplyDeleteWriting the project from the perspective of an inanimate object forced us to change perspective and see WW2 in an objective and detailed way. I could see blogging used for other areas of study because it's unique and fun.
ReplyDeleteI definitely would not want to blog anymore to be completely honest. Maybe if I am choosing to blog myself I would but not really for assignments. It was just stressful the entire time we had this huge project and even after I invested all this time into it, the movie itself taught me more than the actual blog. As to other blogs it was a task to get through them.
ReplyDeleteIt helped because I could really see what happened and what people went through and just how quickly things can escalate. I couldn't see using for school in general but now that I've done it it seems like a reasonable resource.
ReplyDeleteThe process we used helped me to stick with my own topic rather than pick one general idea, research many topics, and then try to condense them all into what I'd thought I would end up with. This difference led me to becoming quite the expert on my topic and I came out knowing much more than I would doing any other research project. I would definitely use blogs for homework more often if i could, if only for the pure convenience of only needing the internet for my entire project. I also thought the blog offered a fun aspect to the project that we got to design our blogs based on our movie and could personalize them far beyond any other medium.

ReplyDeleteThis process made it more difficult, as we had a strict time limit and our work is available to all. I enjoyed the challenge of going very in-depth and finding good sources for my information. Blogging is good for documenting personal or group-related matters (Blogs for design firms, bands, etc.), but not as useful for studying history.
DeleteThe blog I did helped me to get a better understanding of the WWII era because it helped me learn more about not just my character from my film but about WWII period. I believe it helped me learn how people has went out of their ways and put their own life at risk to save other lives and should be well appreciated. It also helped me learn that size does not matter you can still accomplish whatever goals in life that you have and still be successful.
ReplyDeleteI got a better understanding of the World War II era through comparing film as an art form to the reality of the topic because it forces you to go deeper into learning about the topic rather than just relying on information you soak up from the movie itself. It can become sort of an eye-opener because a lot of brutality from war becomes censored in film and once you look deeper, you find out so much more and you can better grasp what things were like. Blogging is already a tool I am required to use in art class and I definitely think it is useful because it helps me to really think about how I want to present my art and it has been helping me to better explain my art to others.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the knowledge of WWII I picked up from this project and it was really helpful to organoze my thoughts. I have always liked the topic of WWII and this project allowed me to get really into detail on an aspect I never would have thought of. I feel the blogging was a difficult mountain to get over at first but once you get used to it, it is simple and easy to use.
ReplyDeleteThis process helped me understand ww2 a little bit better. I enjoyed watching it because it was a ww2 movie. I feel like the blogging was confusing and stressful until we hit send. But in the end it was helpful.
ReplyDeleteThe blog I liked was Millions like us. It explained women's lives working on factories. Since the men went off to war, women could do jobs that they never had to do before.
ReplyDeleteThe artifacts gave me a better understanding of all the events that happened. It also got me more into the events inWW2. And it was very neat and organized on the bloggers
ReplyDeleteThis process of using artifacts has helped me to get a better understanding of The WWII era because I did not just learn about what went on in my movie, but I got to dive a little deeper into the reality of my movie and what portion of my movie was fiction and what part actually happened. I could absolutely see myself using blogging as another form of studying because it lets me connect with many other people and I get to see how other students interpreted the same or different topics.
